Tanned and Toned: 5 Tricks to Help You Keep Your Self-Tan Through the Sweaty Workouts

If you’re reading this, there’s a pretty good chance you like to spend some time working on your fitness, but you like to have that bronze glow working for you too. Who doesn’t want to be toned with a tan? Here is a trick (or five) to maintaining that bronze glow.

  1. Rinse and Repeat!

After you apply your tanner, wait at least eight hours and then rinse off with a quick, 1 minute shower that is lukewarm- no soap! The point of this is to rinse off the color guide (which is what can steak), but leave some product behind so it can continue to develop and you can stay your darkest. The truth is that you want to be careful when you actually do moisturize before and after you apply your tan. The trick to avoid this is to apply baby powder to the areas that you find yourself sweating in first, so that could be the back of your knees, your ankles, or even between your “girls.” The baby powder helps absorb the sweat from your workout as well as being a barrier to friction and prevents your tan from becoming streaky or patchy.
